Ghostbusters: The Video Game

The Ghostbusters are back for an all new adventure. With Manhattan overrun again by supernatural creatures, gamers take the role of a new recruit joining the famous Ghostbusters team. Equipped with a variety of unique equipment and gadgets, players hunt, fight and wrangle a wide range of ghosts in an all-new battle to save New York City from its latest paranormal plague.

Delivering a special gaming experience to the tremendous Ghostbusters fan base around the world, Ghostbusters: The Video Game features the original cast from Columbia Pictures' classic Ghostbusters films, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson - together again for the first time in over 20 years. Supporting the original Ghostbusters crew are the talents of Annie Potts, Brian Doyle Murray and William Atherton.

Like the films before it, Ghostbusters: The Video Game is all-new classic adventure with Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis returning to the helm to script and create a new storyline that leads gamers through the trials and tribulations of the world's leading paranormal ghost busting team. Players experience a variety of frightening new ghosts, even some based on ideas from Aykroyd and Ramis that never made it into the original feature films.

New Ghostbusters II

"New Ghostbusters II" is an action video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed and published by HAL Laboratory in 1990 in Japan and in 1991 in the PAL region. The NES version was never released in North America due to licensing issues with Activision. As a result, NES players in North America only received Activision's Ghostbusters II game.

Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters was published by Sega and developed by Compile for the Mega Drive/Genesis on June 29, 1990. It is unrelated to the earlier Activision game (though their name still appears in the copyright screen), and is instead a run and gun game in which the player takes control of squat cartoon representations of three of the four Ghostbusters from the movie, with the noticeable absence of Winston Zeddemore. Four levels are available initially; after they are completed, a fifth level is unlocked, followed by a sixth and final level. Each level contains a number (usually two) of mid-bosses known as "middle ghosts"; after a middle ghost is defeated, it turns into a small green ghost which can be captured for extra money by luring it over a ghost trap. Between levels, money can be used to buy powerups, such as a 3-way shot or recovery items.

Ghostbusters is an action game that features an overhead-view and a side-view. From Ghostbusters HQ, the player must monitor a map of midtown Manhattan for "ghost alarms", as well as for casual, roaming spirits, and plot a route to the alarmed area. Once the route is plotted, the player then controls the purchased Ghostmobile as it drives through traffic. Here, the player is able to capture casual ghosts on the way if they are en route. When the haunted location is reached, the game switches to a side-view. Two of the Ghostbusters will take position, activate their proton beams, and toss a trap to the ground. The player must then use the two Ghostbusters to attempt to lead the ghost(s) over the placed trap. Once activated, the trap springs to capture any ghosts directly above it. A successful capture will earn the player money, which can then be used to purchase new Ghostbusters vehicles and new modifications for it. An unsuccessful capture will see the ghost fly away (after nastily sliming one of the Ghostbusters).

Compile Corporation (株式会社コンパイル, Kabushikigaisha Konpairu) was a Japanese video game developer, most notable for having developed the Puyo Puyo series, a franchise derived from the Madō Monogatari series. On 6 November 2003, the company shut down amid bankruptcy. As a result, key staff moved to Compile Heart, the company's spiritual successor, whereas shoot-'em-up staff moved to MileStone Inc.[1]

The Compile trademark is being used as a brand label by Compile Heart to promote merchandise and games based on Compile properties.[2] As of 2010, Compile Heart entered into a licensing deal with D4 Enterprise to create new video games based on franchises from Compile properties.[3][4] This agreement does not affect the rights to the Puyo Puyo series as Sega retains ownership of the property.[5]

In April 2016, Niitani started a new successor company to Compile, Compile Maru. The company launched the game Nyoki Nyoki: Tabidachi Hen for Nintendo 3DS on the Nintendo eShop with a follow-up scheduled for Nintendo Switch.

Dro Soft was a Spanish software distributor during the second half of the 1980s and the first half of the 1990s. 
 
It started in 1984 from the record label Discos Radioactive Organizados (DRO), linked to the musical group Aviador Dro. Apart from distributing imported software, Dro Soft also distributed to small Spanish companies (Magic Hand, Josko Soft, Silicon Games, Techno Arts, Xortrapa Soft, Gamart, Animagic, Juliet Software, New Frontier) and developed its own production, including arcade titles (El Cid, 1987, or Explorer XXXI, 1988) or licensed games (the ZX Spectrum version of Budokan: The Martial Spirit, 1991). 
 
In 1994 it was acquired by Electronic Arts for the creation of its delegation in Spain.

Dro Soft

Tec Toy (later renamed Tectoy and TecToy), also known as Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos SA, is a Brazilian electronics and video game company, and Sega’s official distributor in that region. The company has seen overwhelming success with sales of the Sega Master System, and its work established the 8-bit platform as a cultural staple across much of South America.

It underwent a rebranding process in 2007, becoming Tectoy.

Gradiente is a Brazilian consumer electronics company founded in 1964 and based in São Paulo. The company designs and markets many product lines, including video (including televisions and DVD players), audio, home theatre, high-end acoustics, office and mobile stereo, and wireless.

In late 1983, via their subsidiary Polyvox, they launched the official Atari 2600 in Brazil (Vader model). At the time there were already clones or imported 2600s being sold.

In 1993 they founded Playtronic, a fully-owned subsidiary that licensed the manufacturing of Nintendo consoles in Brazil, and while publishing games for various systems they also did the Portuguese translations of some games (among them, South Park and Shadow Man for the Nintendo 64). They ceased partnership with Nintendo in 2003 due to the high price of the dollar at the time. Before 1993, they were unlicensed and sold the NES clone Phantom System, which resembles the Atari 7800.
