The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a co-op Action RPG that immerses you and your friends in a brutal new chapter in the War of the Ring. Snowblind Studios is in the unique position of drawing inspiration from both the literary and film rights to world of Middle-earth, allowing players to bloody their axes on a wide range of deadly enemies and traverse both established and never-before-seen locations. The result is a journey that is both epic and intimate, familiar yet unexpected.

Gameplay alternates between melee, archery, sorcery, and stealth as you control Frodo, Gandalf, and Aragorn. Join this band of heroes in their quest to destroy the One Ring, which contains all the power of the dark lord Sauron.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

La adaptación a videojuego de la aclamada película del mismo nombre. The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest for the PS3 and Wii tells the story of Aragorn during the War of the Ring. Samwise Gamgee is narrating, and recalls the story to entertain his children who want to hear about the adventures of Aragorn.
The game differs in several ways from the PS2 and handheld versions - the biggest being the behind view perspective, as opposed to the birds eye of the PS2 version, and the 'between the main story sections' gameplay in the Shire.

The Wii version has different shading and lacks many voice acted lines for NPCs, as well as the intro sequence features different art for the story telling. The game also lets you attack by swinging with your Wii remote or the Move controller for Playstation 3. The game also supports local co-op where the second player controls Gandalf.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

The Lord of the Rings:The Third Age introduces entirely new characters which aren't mentioned in the books or movies. The game does relate to the movies by including scenes from all three movies, with new background speech by Ian McKellen (Gandalf).

There are seven playable characters in the game which have been created specifically for it, as well a small appearances by characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Eowyn, Faramir, and Gothmog.

The game covers events in all three movies/books, mostly with references to major events shown through cut scenes, or the scenes from the movies with Ian McKellan's narration.

A classic RPG game, The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age has gameplay elements similar to Final Fantasy, where you have a party of characters, each with a different set of skills and attributes, who gain levels, making them stronger as the game progresses. Battles are turn-based, and let the gamer make different decisions on what they want to do to change the outcome of the battle. The game travels through many areas throughout Tolkien's Middle Earth, including The Pelennor Fields and Moria.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria

The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria is the first retail expansion pack for the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online. The storyline is set in Moria, an enormous underground complex in north-western Middle-earth. Apart from that, the expansion also adds the region Lórien. The game's level cap has been increased to level 60; and the expansion extends the Epic storyline by six more books, and adds two new classes, the Rune-keeper and the Warden. Other new features include environment aware AI, dynamic lighting, and a new weapon enhancement system.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor es un videojuego de rol de acción en tercera persona de mundo abierto desarrollado por Monolith Productions y publicado por Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, ambientado en el mundo del Legendarium de JRR Tolkien. El juego se desarrolla en el lapso de 60 años entre los eventos de El Hobbit y El Señor de los Anillos de Tolkien. Es una historia de venganza, matanza y misterio ambientada completamente en Mordor, la Tierra de las Sombras. En el centro de la historia se encuentra Talion, un hombre común que lo pierde todo, incluso su vida mortal. El juego se desarrolla en un mundo completamente abierto e incluye varios elementos de rol, como puntos de experiencia y habilidades. Hay varias maneras en que el jugador puede completar su objetivo principal. Lord of the Rings Online is the premier MMORPG set in J.R.R. Tolkien's wondrous world of Middle-earth. LOTRO brings you into the timeline of the events of The Lord of the Rings story, and sets you on a path that parallels the Fellowship of the Ring, aiding them on their journey to Mordor by performing tasks and adventurous deeds surrounding their path across Middle-earth.

Short-lived teen/mature-focused publishing label of Universal Interactive, a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal. The company was closed in 2004 after it and Universal Interactive were merged into Vivendi Universal Games.

Black Label Games

Universal Interactive Studios, Inc. was founded on January 4, 1994, in tandem with the 1994 Winter Consumer Electronics Show. Leading key personnel for the foundation were Skip Paul and Robert Biniaz. On February 10, MCA acquired a minority stake in Interplay Productions, which would publish Disruptor outside of North America, and later enter into a distribution deal with successor Vivendi Universal Games.

The company's first titles in mid-1994 were Jurassic Park Interactive, developed by Studio 3DO and initially announced in 1993; and Way of the Warrior, developed by Naughty Dog.

Universal contracted with Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games to develop games utilizing the facilities at Universal City, under vice president Mark Cerny. They respectively released Crash Bandicoot in 1996 and Spyro the Dragon in 1998, under publishing arrangements with Sony Computer Entertainment.

In July 2000, MCA-owner Seagram merged Universal Studios with Vivendi. After the merger closed, UIS was transitioned to Vivendi's Havas Interactive division and was eventually downgraded to a publishing label of the now-named Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing. Titles that would be published under the name were primarily a mix of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot sequels and licensed titles based on other Universal IPs.

In 2004, Universal Interactive was consolidated under its parent company Vivendi Universal Games, and the label was discontinued. It remained as a copyright holder for existing properties, but all titles were published under either Vivendi Universal Games or Sierra.

Vivendi Universal then announced that on March 3, 2006, as a result of divesting Universal Studios to General Electric, it and several of its divisions, including Vivendi Universal Games, would cease using the "Universal" name and would simply become Vivendi, with Vivendi Universal Games becoming Vivendi Games.
